A Note from our School Librarian (Tr. Nancy)

Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alaikum

During the next six weeks of the grade 4A's school library visits, the students will familiarize themselves with the six steps of the research process by researching a topic of their choice in science. To get them started, we had a look at the first step of the research process which is the Task Definition. This step consists of telling the students what they will need to know and what they will need to do before they start their research project. For next week, I asked them to choose a topic in science that they would enjoy researching, and I asked them to think of questions they would like answered concerning their topic of choice. On Tuesday, October 6, the students bring their topic and questions to the library, and we move on to the second step which is the Information Seeking Strategies.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.

Have a great evening, inshaAllah.

Sincerely,

Nancy-Ann Brethour
