Here is an update on what we will be learning for the next couple of months in each subject.
Language: We will be starting our novel study on "Charlotte's Web" on Monday. We will read the novel as a class and students will learn new vocabulary, write chapter summaries, and have quizzes. There will also be mini assignments and a final project at the end. Students also need to bring in one empty notebook by Monday.
Social Studies: We will begin our next unit "Heritage and Identity: Early Societies, 300 BCE-1500 CE". This unit is very fun since students explore the medieval times and learn about kings, queens, serfs, peasants and castles. We will also learn about Mesopotamia, The Mayans, First Nations, Aztecs, and the importance of archeological sites.
