السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

سيعقد اختبار القراءة للغة العربية للصف الرابع في يوم الإثنين القادم الموافق 2 نوفمبر 2015 بمشيئة الله.  سيتم الاختبار في جميع النّصوص  التي تمت دراستها , و معاني الكلمات التي في الكتاب, و الأسئلة التالية من التمرين الأول ( أجيب  عن الأسئلة ) :

1-" لغتي الجميلة " : الفقرة  1, 2 من السؤال الأول.

2- " الحاسوب " : الفقرة  2, 3 من السؤال الأول.

3- " لا بدّ أن نتعاون " : الفقرة  1, 3 من السؤال الأول.

ملاحظة: ( تم حل جميع الأسئلة في كتاب أو دفتر اللغة العربية للطالب).

عند تسجيل علامة الطالب , سيؤخذ بعين الاعتبار المهارات التالية:

Science Quiz

Insha'Allah there will be a Science quiz on Thursday Nov. 5th.

For reviewing, the students should be able to answer these questions:

1- What is a habitat? 

2- What do plants and animals need to be able to survive in a habitat?

3- Name 3 habitats and the main features of each. 

4- What is adaptation? Why is adaptation important?

5- What is a community? Is it important to live in a community?

الأهالي الكرام: 

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

أود الاشارة الى ....اننا هذا العام اتبعنا نظاما جديدا في تحديد مستوى التلاميذ لجميع الفصول بشكل متسلسل  ،حيث قسمت  جميع الفصول الى 16 مستوى ،ابتداء  من الصف الاول (المستوى 1 ) و ختاما بالصف السادس ( المستوى 16 ) .

فالصف الخامس  مثلا الذي أقوم بتدريسه لهذا العام بناء على التقسيم الجديد ، هو 

المستوى الثالث عشر.........   وجزاكم الله خيرا

I would like to mention that the Arabic language team is following a new system this year. All the classes, starting from grade 1 to grade 6 have 16 levels in total. For example: I teach level 13 in grade 5.

Weekly math package: students received it today and they are expected to bring it back next Friday Oct. 23rd solved and checked by parents.

Math Test: on Monday Oct. 26th, the students will be tested on chapter 1 - Patterns in Mathematics.

The test will include:

1- Patterns with multiple attributes
2- Number patterns
3- Patterns in T-charts
4- Measurement patterns
5- Solve problems using a patterning strategy
6- Multiple number patterns
7- Finding missing terms
8- Equivalent equations

Salam Parents,

Here is an update on what we are learning in each subject:

Language Arts: Students will be focusing on an environmental theme. We will be integrating Science and Social Studies topics where students recognize how human activity can lead to the production of wastes, and identify alternative ways to manage and help the environment or a certain habitat. Students will reflect on these ideas and create wide range of media forms (posters, letter writing, etc.). In addition, weekly spelling lessons will be given out and we will be using the communicating skills book for grammar lessons.

Social Studies: Our focus for term 1 will be on the political and physical regions of Canada. We will be analyzing different provinces and territories and the issues and challenges they face with their environment.

Islamic Studies: For the month of October we will be looking at the Hijra and how it relates to our school theme of Cooperation.

Gym: Students will be playing variety of games that enhance sportsmanship and cooperation.

Art: Students will be creating two-and-three dimensional art. We will also be starting drama soon where we will role play to communicate ideas, feelings, and stories.
